MRS. MAK'S NEWSLETTER
We have had another great week at school. We welcomed our new SMART BOARD on Wednesday. We are so lucky to have one in our classroom. We also went to the computer lab and learned the log-in process. Our second time in the lab we were able to log-in and actually go to a website! We will have our first Sight Word Review on Friday. This is a test on the sight words that have been introduced. We'll have one almost every week. I attached a new schedule which includes our library time on Tuesday.

Religion -- We will talk about Jesus being our friend.
Phonics/Shared Reading -- Consonant Gg (guh) will be introduced. We will read Gus the Goat, Goodnight Moon, Good Dog, Carl and Where Do We Go?
Math -- We will study number readiness and patterning.
Science -- We will study leaves and trees.
Social Studies -- We will study maps.
Monthly Activity -- We will learn about apples.
Upcoming Dates
Monday, September 6 -- Labor Day NO SCHOOL
Tuesday, September 7 -- Library @ 12:50 Books should be returned every Tuesday.
Tuesday, September 14 -- Home and School Meeting at 7:00 in school (babysitting provided)
