     All students should have a Student Planner, in which specific assignments and due dates are recorded every day.  If you need to contact me, please send me a note.

        The class has a religion test on Chapter Two this week.  The information to study was thoroughly reviewed last week. Students should have written the test date into their planners.     In English, the class is studying capitalization and punctuation.  Throughout the year, the students will be quizzed on basic capitalization and punctuation skills. At random times during class, the students will review how to end sentences properly and to avoid writing run-on sentences. The next areas of emphasis will be on hyphens, plurals, and possessives. In spelling, the class will have a test on the next unit this week.  The students should write the day of the test into their Student Planners. 

     The seventh graders received voc. papers two weeks ago.  In class, we shared the work for the next unit.  The students should be studying the voc. words ten to fifteen minutes a night.  Developing a broader voc. helps students read, write, and spell well!  In English, the class continues a capitalization and punctuation study.  At times, the students will be quizzed on their skills after a thorough review.  In spelling, we've studied Unit 3.  The test is this week. The students should write the days of  tests/assignments for their subjects into their Student Planners.

     The literature group needs to know the voc. and selection for "The Celebrated Jumping Frog of Calaveras County."  Students need to know the characteristics of a tall tale and give examples.  During class, the story and voc. along with the concept of plot will be studied.  The students should write the day of tests/assignments into their Student Planners.
