MAKE THIS AN AWESOME YEAR!!

        Get a good start by making sure you list all homework and due dates in your assignment pad or planner.

Monday – Labor Day.

Tuesday – Went to the Library for reminder of Library Etiquette and to find a book to read. Our first vocabulary test will be tomorrow. It will cover our first 3 stories.

Wednesday – Vocabulary test on Theme "Growing Pains", our first three stories.

Thursday – Finish vocabulary test. Assigning vocabulary for Diary of Anne Frank.

Friday – Collecting worksheets with vocabulary then beginning to read the first section of Diary of Anne Frank. NO homework over the weekend.

**** Math 8 ****

Monday – Labor Day

Tuesday - Went over all the homework problems they completed from pp. 23-25.

Wednesday – Went throught the next home work assignment, Lesson 4 pp.28-30, then possibly complete Power Up for lesson 5 in class.

Thursday – Taught lesson on Fractional Parts and worked practice problems in class.

 Friday - Assigned written practice, pp. 33-35 as classwork to be finished Monday if necessary. No homework.

   ****Science 8****

Monday – Labor Day.

Tuesday –  Using microscopes to make and observe protococcus cells using wet mounts.

Wednesday – We will draw what our cells of protococcus look like under a microscope.

Thursday - Discussing responsibilities of head office in a toy factory compared to the nucleus (head office) of a cell.

Friday –  Continuing reading about cells and cell division. NO Homework over the weekend.

**** Religion7 ****

Monday -  Labor Day.

Tuesday – Computer Day - working on the home row of the keyboard. 

Wednesday - Test Chapter 1 returned today for parent signature after correcting together in class. Begin reading Chapter 2.

Thursday – Mass practice. 7th Grade Mass is Friday.

Friday - Continue reading Chapter 2. Complete Activities pp. 10-11. No homework.

**** Science 7 ****

Monday - Labor Day.

Tuesday – Finish reading Ch. 1 Sec. 3, Models in Earth Science, the assign DRA that goes with this section, due Wed.

Wednesday - Corrected  DRA, then assigned section Review for Models in Earth Science, due Thurs.

Thursday – Corrected the review sheet for Chapter 1 Sec. 3. Quiz on Chapter 1, Section 3 is tomorrow!

Friday – Quiz on Models in Earth Science then Make a model of an Airplane.

**** Math 6 ****  

Monday – Labor Day.

Tuesday – Review Lesson 4 on unknowns in Multiplication and Division. Complete the practice problems together then assign written practice as homework due Wed.

Wednesday – Collected Tues. homework. Began Lesson 5 with Power Up then started teaching the lesson.

Thursday – Finish Power Up correction and teaching more specifics about Order of Operations in Math. If time begin practice set.

Friday – Assign Written Practice Ch.1  Lesson5, Order of Operations #1-30. No homework over the weekend.
