We had another good week. Thanks to all who sent in the School Mall booklets. If you haven't sent them yet, please send them next Tuesday. Thanks!
Our kids' masses start next Wednesday. Our first class mass will be on Sept. 22nd.
We're off Monday, so don't send you kids! :)
Our beginning of school class meeting will be on Tuesday evening, Sept. 14th from 6:20 - 6:40. The Home and School meeting will begin at 7:00. I'm sure hoping that a LOT of you can attend both. I will give you a copy of your child's schedule that evening and the kids have been working on a cool letter for you to pick up that evening.
Terrra Nova testing will be the week of Sept. 13th, so if your kids have to be sick, but sure they're sick this coming week so they can get it over with. :) Seriously, I'd appreciate it if you could schedule dentist and dr. appts. sometime other than that week if at all possible, unless it's an emergency, etc. Tests will have to be made up during PE, Art, music, or a time when I am free (which isn't often!)
Be sure to check out TEACHER EASE to look at your child's grades and averages. I checked in and saw that many of you are using it very often. However, some have not checked the grades at all. I was chatting with one of the parents outside today and she told me she LOVES being able to check her child's progress, averages in each subject, if there are any missing papers, etc. She said it eliminates "surprises" at MQ and report card time, and she can't say enough about being able to keep track of her child's grades. Please CHECK IT OUT!! (I sure would have loved to have this when my son, Bob, was here. He was not always forthcoming about his papers and grades. :) ).

** ON A POSITIVE NOTE: I have been so pleased with the class behavior and attitude as a whole so far this year. It is really a pleasure to come to work in the morning!
Most of the kids did a great job on their religion and reading vocabulary and notes!
Most of the kids are doing a great job getting their homework in on time.
KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK!
